Why bokashi?
At Humus & Harmony we are real gardeners that understand the importance of the soil and the life it creates. Microbes work synergistically with the plant roots, fungi, and other microorganisms to break down and cycle the organic bits that exist in your compost, forest floor, and garden beds to make them into a form that is plant available. Bokashi is an excellent way to boost the microbiome of any compost, lawn, and garden without the need for monthly applications of dangerous chemicals.
Bokashi bran can also be used to combat odors from pet waste, animal bedding, food scraps, and more! The microbes in bokashi bran outcompete the odor-causing bacteria to safely and effectively neutralize odors.

We are a family-owned operation based in Bellaire, Michigan. Living in Northern Michigan, we are inspired daily by the pristine lakes, the fertile forests, and the short, intense growing season. This environment drives our commitment to sustainable soil health that can withstand the unique challenges of the North.
Our entire family is dedicated to the philosophy of natural farming. We don't just sell bokashi; we live the lifestyle.
